How to start a session

Charging your electric vehicle using Plugsurfing is easy and intuitive. You can start and stop sessions directly in the app or by scanning your charging card in the charger’s RFID reader. Here’s a step-by-step guide for starting a charging session.

Using the app:

1. Open the Plugsurfing app on your smartphone.
2. Select the "Charge" at the bottom of the screen to view nearby charging stations.
3. Find the charging station where you want to charge your car.
4. Select the charging location on the map to view its details.
5. Tap the "Charge" button to see the available plugs and pricing.
6. Select a plug that works with your car and tap on "Charge and pay".
   1. If it's your first time using the Plugsurfing app, you may need to enter your payment details before you can charge.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen to connect your car to the charging station and start the charging session.
8. Once the charging session has started, you can monitor its progress through the app and get a notification when the charging session is complete.

Using the charging card:

1. Hold your Plugsurfing charging card close to the RFID reader on the charging station.
2. The charging station will recognize your card and start the charging session.
3. Wait for the charging station to authorize the session and then connect the charging cable to your electric vehicle.
4. The charging session will start automatically, and you can monitor its progress on the charging station's display or through the Plugsurfing app.
5. Once the charging session is complete, disconnect the charging cable from your electric vehicle and return it to the charging station.
6. Hold your charging card or key fob close to the RFID reader again to end the charging session.
7. The charging station will recognize the end of the session and finalize the billing for the charging session.
8. You will get a notification from the Plugsurfing app with the details of the charging session and the amount charged to your account.
