How to start a charging session

You can start a charging session in the Plugsurfing app or with your charging card. In the app, select a charger on the map, choose a plug, and select Charge and pay. With a card, hold it to the charger's RFID reader.

📱 Start a session in the Plugsurfing app

1. Open the Plugsurfing app
2. Select Charge at the bottom of the screen to see chargers nearby
3. Select the charger you want to use on the map
4. Select Charge to see the available plugs and prices
5. Choose a plug that works with your car and select Charge and pay. If you haven't added a payment method yet, the app asks you to add one.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen to connect your car and start charging
7. Follow the progress in the app. You get a push notification when charging is complete.

💳 Start a session with your charging card

1. Hold your charging card or key fob to the charger's RFID reader
2. Wait for the charger to authorize the session, then connect the cable to your car
3. Charging starts automatically. Follow the progress on the charger's display or in the Plugsurfing app.
4. When you're done, disconnect the cable from your car and return it to the charger
5. Hold your charging card or key fob to the RFID reader again to end the session
6. You get a notification in the Plugsurfing app with the session details and the amount charged
