A reservation has been made on my bank account. How long will the reservation be kept?
When you try to start a charging session, a reservation will be made. Your app will display the amount that is reserved in the local currency. The amount is dependent on your current location. The reservation will be upheld until the session is completed.
I never started a session; why is there still a reservation?
Sometimes you might not be able to start a session. However, the reservation will be kept for up to six hours, even if you do not start a session. If you try to start a new session while you have an active reservation, there won’t be another reservation made.
When is my payment withdrawn for a session?
No money is withdrawn from your account until your session is completed. What we do initially is a "pre-authorization." This means that while the funds are locked on your account until the session ends or for a maximum of 6 hours, no actual transaction or withdrawal occurs until the session has concluded. At that point, only the amount for the actual session is charged. This ensures that you are billed accurately for the services provided.
What happens if the session cost is lower than the reserved amount?
If the session cost is lower than the reserved amount, we will capture the session cost. The remaining reserved amount will be released when the session is completed.
Here is an example:
The reservation amount is 30€. Your session costs 25€. You will have one transaction of 25€ and the 5€ reservation is released.
What happens if the session cost is higher than the reserved amount?
If the session cost is higher than the reserved amount, we will deduct the full cost of the session.
Here is an example:
The reservation amount is 30€, and your session costs 35€. You will have one transaction of 35€ on your account, and the 30€ reservation will be released.
Why do I have two transactions for one session?
If the amount available on your card is insufficient to cover both the reservation cost and the full session cost, you will have two transactions on your card: one for the reservation amount and one for the remaining amount.
Here is an example:
You have 40€ available on your card. The reservation amount is 30€ and your session costs 35€. Because the available amount on your card (40€) does not cover both the reservation cost and the full session cost (65€), you will be charged twice: 30€ and 5€.
